Thanks for pavers

BAMBA is very grateful to Ian Forster from Waimarino Tree Resource and The Woodshed for the generous donation of 100 trail pavers. These will be used to protect eroded/rutted sections of our trails, making them last longer with less maintenance. For anyone needing forest seedlings in the Lower/Central NI or firewood in the Ruapehu region check out www.forestseedlings.co.nz and www.thewoodshed.net.nz

Trail Building, Sunday 12th Feb

Now that the major dirt moving has been completed we now need volunteers to do the fun part, sculpting and grooming on Electric Avenue.  Work party meets at 9:00am this Sunday at the Stratton Street Woolshed.  Tools, morning tea, and friendly banter included.

Sunday 8th Trail Maintence

Bull Run needs a hair cut.  Its easy work cutting bush back and maybe a small amount of grabber work, so it’s a nice way to ease back into the new year.  If you have any free time please met this Sunday at 9:30am at the Woolshed at the end of Stratton Street.

Electric Avenue

electricavenueWe gonna rock down to Electric Avenue, and then we’ll take it higher

The new grade 3 downhill trail that is under construction now has a name, which is Electric Avenue.  This trail will wind its way down from the top of 4 degrees down to the start of Weta, in a similar location to where the old Choppers trail used to be.

Our next dig morning is Sunday the 11th December and we would love to see some new faces to help so we can get it finished and rideable as soon as we can.  Turn up to the Woolshed at the end of Stratton Street at 9am for a shuttle up to the trail.  Morning tea is also provided.

Trail Building, Sunday 30th Oct

Regular Sunday morning trail building is this Sunday, 30th October, 9am.  Meet at the Stratton Street Woolshed.  This will be final touch-ups of trails in preparation for the PNP Spring Series which will be in Belmont on the 6th November.

Trail Building Sunday 25th

Trail building again on Sunday 25th @ 9:00am.  We will continue on the easy deviation half way down Weta, which if there enough hands we should get completed.  Refreshments provided.
