Reminder. Trail building on ‘Quick Route’ (that’s right, the new trail has a name now) is on this Sunday morning at 9:00am. Make your way either along old coach road to the second gate, then down the hill to the tool box, or walk up from the Stratton street Woodshed, following where Big Weta used to be. The later is quicker if you are walking in and out.

Progress on new trail
Progress on the replacement of the Last Sun (yet to be named) is going extremely well. In the past 6 weeks volunteers have made 415m of trail with a altitude drop of 44m, so at this pace it wont be long until we are down to the woolshed. Marco has mapped out what we have done, so check it out here, and a few pictures below. Next dig day is Sunday, 4th May.
Project Funding from Trail Fund
A special thanks to the awesome guys at Trail Fund for assisting with funding for our storage box, first aid kit and gloves. This will enable us to ensure that we are meeting our requirements to make sure that our volunteers are safe and also meet our obligations under the Memorandum of Understanding with the Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC).

Bull Run – Hutt News Article Dec 31st.
The Hutt News has incorrectly quoted that this track was built with financial assistance from the council – This is actually incorrect!
The Bull run was built entirely from volunteers with no financial assistance at all!
What should have been printed was: GWRC are to fully fund a new uphill replacement for “Danzig” in the new year! (to be named 4 degrees)- This is to be constructed from the Danzig forest logging revenue.
