Danzig logging update – Trails open over Xmas

The contractors have allowed GW to reopen the pine block within the logging site during the Christmas/New Year shutdown.

This means that during the shutdown, 22 December 2012 to 6 January 2013 mountain bikers will be able to access the following tracks:

Â Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The Stratton Street Bridleway

Â Other tracks in Belmont Regional Park for mountain bikers include:

Â Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The Sweetacres Walkway to Hill Road

Â Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Hill Road up to the airstrip and beyond

Â Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Stratton Street up to Belmont Trig and down through Korokoro Valley

All of these places offer a good mountainÂ biking experience with spectacular views on Wellington Harbour

and Porirua City.
